About

The Center for Preaching and Pastoral Leadership

The Center for Preaching and Pastoral Leadership exists to equip and encourage pastors to lead healthy, disciple-making churches for the glory of God around the world. The Center represents an intentional bridge between the seminary and the local church.

How Do We Fulfill Our Mission?

The Center for Preaching and Pastoral Leadership is part of the Centers’ Initiative at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Our center exists to equip and encourage pastors to lead healthy disciple-making churches for the glory of God around the world. We fulfill this mission through four distinct areas of emphasis:

  • Through our content and resources geared specifically for pastors and church leaders.
  • Through events that deal with specific ministry issues and feature some of the leading experts in the field.
  • Through intentional partnerships with like-minded churches, associations, and organizations.
  • Through our mentorship program, which provides students the opportunity to grow and serve outside of the classroom.

At Southeastern, we believe leadership and ministry skills development are responsibilities of discipleship and thus should be an intentional part of every local church ministry. Through the Center for Preaching and Pastoral Leadership, we offer assistance, resources, and training to our students, as well as to pastors and churches, to further equip them to serve well in the crucible of real-life ministry. If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to us at [email protected].
